TOYOTA HILUX

Toyota India has launched the Hilux pickup truck in India at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Its a diesel-only offering and is offered in two broad trims: Standard and High. Bookings are temporarily halted due to a variety of factors affecting its supply, making it unable to meet customer demand. Bookings were being accepted for a token amount of Rs 50,000 online, and Rs 1 lakh at Toyotas dealerships.

The Hilux is priced between Rs 33.99 lakh and Rs 36.8 lakh (ex-showroom). In India, the pickup will lock horns with the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

The Toyota Hilux is powered by the Fortuners 204PS/500Nm 2.8-litre diesel engine. It can be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The pickup will get a four-wheel drive with a low-range gearbox as standard.

The Toyota Hilux is offered in two trims: Standard and High. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, while the High can be specced with an optional 6-speed automatic.The pickup comes in five body shades: Super White, White Pearl, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, and Emotional Red.

The Toyota Hilux pickup gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, a powered drivers seat, cruise control, and push-button start. Passenger safety is taken care of by seven airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, hill descent control, and electronic stability control.
